What is Kava?
Kava is native to the Polynesian Islands located in the South Pacific region of the world. Kava is a root from the pepper plant named Piper Methysticum. It has been consumed ceremonially for over 3,000 years and has recently gained popularity in the U.S.
Kavalactones are the active ingredient in kava responsible for the buzz that occurs. Kava is known to calm the MIND, relieving you of stress and anxiety. It can also relax the BODY, helping with muscle tension and minor pain relief. Kava has also been known to promote a more restful night of sleep.
The buzz from kava is comparable to that of alcohol, however, there are no negative side effects such as driving under the influence, loss of motor functions, and hangovers to name a few. Kava is the buzz without the booze.
What is Z Tea?
The leaf brewed in our Z Tea is from Southeastern Asia known as mitrogyna speciosa. The determination of effect felt is based on the process in which the leaves are cured and dried.
